Success Stories from Our Patients

I am writing this letter to all of Dr Ochers patients and future patients. My name is Staci Tom and I live in Toms River, NJ. I have suffered from migraines since I was 16 years old. My mother took me to see every Dr. under the sun. All they would tell me was that when I hit menopause, they would go away. You see that was not very good news since I was so young and menopause was so far off. Thru the years I had 3 children and every year my headaches progressed. I have been rushed to the ER for passing out from the pain, having numbness down one side of my body where my family thought I was having a stroke to trying new medications that the doctors were afraid might have given me a small heart attack. I've tried medications that temporarily took my memory and I have never been 100% since.

My sister is a nurse at Beth Israel Hospital in lower Manhattan for many years. A good friend of hers( a Doctor) told her about Dr. Ocher and how she had helped her with her headaches. She said she was a "miracle worker". I was skeptical and really tired of seeing doctors and hearing the same old story. I finally gave in and made an appointment. When I was called in for my appointment I was pleasantly surprised at her beautiful office but even more taken back by the caring and kindness of her staff. We discussed my history and she gave me a lesson on the physiology of migraines opposed to a normal headache. She explained all my options and how and why each option worked. She gave me her best recommendation for treatment. While sitting there speaking to her , I appreciated the fact that she spoke to me like an intelligent woman. I also felt like she was brilliant. She never made me feel like I was complaining about "just a headache". My vibe ( which I take seriously, your sixth sense) was of and extremely intelligent, beautiful on the inside and out, caring person. I truly believe being a doctor was what she was put on this earth to do. Since seeing her for 3 years, I have had nothing but improvement. My oldest daughter and my son also suffer from migraines and you can bet they are patients of Dr. Ochers. I'm writing this letter to let everyone who suffers from migraines that there is real help out there. Everyone is and individual and that is how you are treated. Somethings work for some and other things help for others. I would recommend Dr. Ocher to everyone and trust her with my life and my children's lives. Thank you Doctor Ocher for helping give me back my life.

Before my first visit with Dr. Ocher, I mentioned my chronic pain to every doctor I saw (5+), only to have it dismissed as psychosomatic or write me scripts for high doses of NSAIDs that no longer sufficed. Dr. Ocher also seemed skeptical about my pain, at first, but she ran some tests in her office on the spot! This was a major relief vs. having to wait 3+ weeks for a follow-up with a doctor to discuss the results for tests performed outside the office. Dr. Ocher has very good bedside manner, and is gentle and considerate during tests or treatments that may be painful (for a very short period of time). A few months since my first appointment, my quality of life has improved significantly. I still have a ways to go, but I am so happy to finally be taken seriously and in the process of a solid treatment plan. My thanks to all the positive reviewers for steering me to Dr. Ocher. For someone dealing with chronic pain, it's worth the commute!

FAQs about Stem Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine

During the stem cell therapy treatment, you will undergo a minimally invasive procedure typically involving the extraction and re-injection of stem cells. The specific process can vary depending on the treatment area but generally includes preparation, cell extraction, processing, and injection. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia and takes about an hour.

Recovery times can vary based on the treatment area and individual patient factors. Most patients can resume normal activities within a few days. However, it may take several weeks to fully realize the benefits of the therapy as the stem cells regenerate and repair tissues.

Common side effects include temporary swelling, pain at the injection site, and mild bruising. Rare complications could include infection and nerve injuries. It’s important to discuss these risks with your healthcare provider before undergoing treatment.

Eligibility for stem cell therapy is determined through a detailed medical evaluation by your healthcare provider. Factors considered include the specific health condition, overall health status, medical history, and previous treatments. Patients with active infections, certain cancers, or those who are pregnant may not be eligible.
